Eclipse in the Rif: the eclipse of the century
On Monday 2 August 2027, at around quarter to ten in the morning, the moon swallows the sun over northern Morocco. Day turns to dusk, the temperature drops, the stars come out, and for almost five minutes you’re standing in the shadow of the longest total eclipse over land this century. The next one like this... 2114.
We’ll watch it from high in the Rif Mountains, in Morocco’s far north: cedar forest, high passes and big skies, with steadier weather inland than on the coast. Nothing about this comes round twice, and we’ll be there with the bikes ready. Want in? We’re taking the whole fleet, 40+ bikes. When they’re gone, they’re gone, so register your interest now and you’ll be the first to hear when dates, programme and price are confirmed.
